Society of Imaginary Friends ‘End of Summer’ Soiree

Glastonbury comes to Karamel – courtesy of the ‘Society of Imaginary Friends’ who wowed revellers & critics alike with their performance at the festival opening ceremony, and which they recreate for you tonight at their ‘End of Summer Soiree’. Telegraph REVIEW:

“It took a soprano, ethereal and quivering, to make people stand to attention. The music was not familiar, although the vocalist conjured comparisons to Grace Jones and Kate Bush, but it was commanding. An impromptu Mexican wave scattered down the field, led by the shirtless and tattooed performers who would be breathing and dancing with fire within the hour.” Alice Vincent in The Telegraph

At this month’s Soiree, say SOIF: “We celebrate the passing of the hot sticky inner city Riot Season with the irrepressible Hip Hop star Dekay Ex with guest singer Faye, we kiss goodbye to the fair Summer season with a raucous hillbilly dancing jamboree courtesy of Appalachian Art Anarchists Flatfoot Johnny and the Wandering Rhythm…poet Cian Binchey will divulge in iambic pentameter what he got up to in the hols, Medieval Crum Horn genius and “Circulus” front man William Summers will transport us to a verdant glade, and we, the Society of Imaginary Friends ,will perform our Summer Festival set which we have performed throughout the Summer from Glastonbury to the Welsh Valleys (review below), as well as our new single “Experience Freedom”.

And don’t forget the delicious award-winning Cordon Bleu Vegan food cooked up by super-Chefs Kath and Roger… let’s dance !!
